MILKHA SINGH(ATHLETE)

                        Milka Singh(born between 1929 and 1935),also known as The Flying Sikh,is a former Indian track & field sportsman,who was introduced to the sport while serving in the Indian Army.He was the only Indian athelete to win an individual athletics gold medal at a Commonwealth Games.He also won gold medals in the 1958 and 1962 Asian Games.He represented India in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne ,the 1960 Summer Olypics in Rome and the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo

                                Milkha Singh has led a life dominated by running,running,running ......From a boy who escaped death during partition,to a juvenile delinquent who stole and outran from police,to a young Army recruit who ran very first race to win special previleges from him( a daily glass of milk).After his first race he became athlete default.
